While lifting pipes at the drainage contract works in Railway Road, William Gannon, of Rose Street, was injured by the sheerlegs toDplin# over and striking him on the side of his facc. He was removed to hospital, where a stitch was inserted in a deep wound. It is likely he will remain in hospital several da vs.
