BUILDERS BEAT MERCHANTS. ANNUAL MATCH PLAYED. Victory in the annual howling niat'-h yesterday between teams representing the Auckland merchants anil the Auckland Master Builders' Association, played at the Auckland Club's srrcen. went to the builders after a highly enjoyable contest. It was the fourth annual match and each side has now won twice. At the conclusion of the jrniiie a miniature ladder (presented by the Wilson Portland Cement Company), was handed over by Mr. A. G. Graham, on behalf of the merchants, to Mr. X. Cole, president of Ihe Builders' Association.
