ANSTICE—LEASK.
The Somervell Memorial Church was the scene last evening of the wedding of Miss Anne Kemp Leask, second daughter of the late Mr. and Mr*. Andrew Leask of Inyerurie, Aberdeene-hire, Scotland ami Mr. George Owen Anstice, son of Mrs An** ice, of Auckland. The Rev J. Pattlson officiated. The bride was given away by Mr. P. D. Wright and wore a frock of ivory georgette, over a glistening silver kce. The uneven edged draperies were, outlined in silver thread. An uncommon veil was worn Four wide bands of eatin were taken from the top of the veil, which was held in place by orange blossom buds and ear clusters, and fell to the hem of tie skirt. She carried a large white snower bouquet. Miss Mavis Wright was chief bridesmaid, in a frock °of lettuce green uneven draped georgette, the skirt having deeper toned velvet .motifs. A green crinoline picture hat had long velvet ribbons at one side, and .she carried a golden toned shower bouquet. The little flower" girl, Dorothy Wright, was in apple green georgette, with small lace frills on the ekirt, Dolly Varden bonnet of the same toned eilk crepe de chine, and carried a posy of shaded yellow flowers. Mr. William Walsh was the best mam. The Domain kiosk wae gaily decorated in hanging baskets and pink tiger lilies. Mrs? T). Wright was hostess, and received the guests in a good lame frock and black satin cape, trimmed with gold, and gold ."bouquet; lire. Munroe, black silk crepe de chine, black hat.
HANCOCK—DANDO. The wedding of Miss Rosemary Dando, of Auckland, and Mr. Harold .lames Hancock, eldest eon of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hancock, of Remuera, was celebrated at St. Mary's Cathedral last evening. The service was fully choral, and Canon 4£k""cival James performed the ceremony, *&.: Edgar Randal officiating at the organ. Mr. L\ J. Curtis gave the bride away. Her gown, fashioned on simple lines, was of silver grey georgette, with a narrow handkerchief draped down one side. A powder blue felt picture hat had velvet trimmings, and she carried a shower bouquet of white and blue choice flowers. Two bridesmaids attended, Miss May Hancock, in beige silk crepe fleuri, with three-flounce skirt and tucked bodice, hat of same shade with velvet flowers, and Miss Gaenor Maxwell in powder blue crepe de soie. Each carried a dainty shower bouquet. Mr. R. L. Duke was best man, and Mr. E. Hancock acted as groomsman. The reception was held in (St. Mary's Parish Hall, which was prettily decorated. The bride's mother wore mastic-toned marocain and hat to tone, and the bridegroom's mother biscuit silk marocain and hat to tone. McNEIL—BERTRAM. Holy Trinity Church, Devonport, was the scene of a pretty wedding last evening (Wednesday), when Miss Mavis Hilda Bertram, elder daughter of Mr. F. J. Bertram and Mrs. A. H. Bertram, of Takapuna, became the wife of Mr. Albert Alexander McNeil, eldest son of Mrs. Daisy McNeil and the late Mr. A. McNeil. The Rev. T. G. Robson, Royal Navy chaplain, and an old friend of the bride's family, officiated. The bride, who entered the church on tlie ami of her father, wore a dainty bridal frock of ivory georgette with frilled skirt, the corsage and sleeves embroidered in roule lace work, and large hip-bow of tali'eta. The train was formed by a beautiful old veil of Limerick lace, which was bound to the head l>y a bandeau formed of live tiers of tiny orange blossom buds across the forehead, terminating with clusters of blossoms over the ears. She carried a sheaf of white lilies in place of the usual bouquet. Miss Jean Bertram, the j bride's only sister, was bridesmaid, frockpd in almond green georgette, with frilled skirt and uneven hem-line, wide georgette sash with long ends and
shoulder ornament of pearls and diamante. An almond groen and silver crinoline hat with flower spray to tone, and a bouquet of orange and gold flowers with tulle bows completed the toilette. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. J. E. Aubin. A reception was held at "Marangai," the home of the bride's mother, after the church ceremony. Mrs. Bertram recehed, wearing navy crepe de chine, navy hat with fawn and navy ospreye, and autumn-tinted bouquet.
