G OVER NOR-GENERAL'S PARTT SPEECHES OF WELCOME. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAXGAXUI, Friday. The Governor-General and Lady k Alice Fergusson arrived here to-night 'from Taumarunui via the river. They called at several native settlements, where speeches of welcome -were made. In his address to the natives Sir Charles urged the revival of native arts. Th»ir Excellencies this evening attended the Dominion band contest.
