"SUPPORT LOCAL GOODS."

MASTER GROCERS AT NAPIER.

APPEAL BY MINISTER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

NAPIER, this day.

The Master Grocers' Federation opened its sixth annual conference here this morning. Delegates were present from all over the Dominion.

The Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Commerce and Industries, in his opening address, appealed to all traders to support New Zealand good?, which in quality and packing equalled the overseas articles. He indicated that the cash order trading inquiry would open in Wellington about the end of the month, and he asked for the conference's opinions in connection with this problem. Referring to Government interference in business, the Minister said he would prefer that traders settled their marketing problems for themselves.
