TWO YEARS' PROBATION,

WELLINGTON, this day.
Edward James Payton, married, aged 36, an assistant in the store of McDuffs, Ltd., where he cleaned out the premises each morning, was to-day admitted to two years' probation following charges of theft from a cash register. The cash stolen amounted to £2 3/6. Payton was also charged with stealing a box of soap and some cigarette papers.
