IN HIS HOME TOWN.
MR. STALLWORTHY HONOURED
GATHERING AT DARGAVILLE
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.)
DARGAVILLE, this day.
"The Northern Wairoa district has produced two Prime Ministers and is quite used to entertaining Ministers of the Crown," said Mr. A. E. Harding, speaking at a civic reception and conversazione to the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy last night. "It is particularly fitting," the speaker added, "that the Minister's mother (Mrs. John Stallworthy) should be present to share the honours with her son." (Applause.)
Other speakers included the Mayor (Mr. F. A. Jones) and the chairman of the Hospital Board (Mr. J. H. McCarroll). The Minister was accorded a flattering reception.
This morning he inspected the Te Kopuru Hospital , and received deputations. The Ministerial party left later to inspect the Paparoa Hospital en route to Helensville.
