MAYOR OF TE AWAMUTU.
RETIRES AFTER TEN YEARS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent-) TE AWAMUTU, -this day. The Mayor of Tβ Awamutu, Mr. ll O. Armstrong, said at a meeting of the T« Awamutu Borough Council last evening that he desired to make a definite announcement that he would not be available again as a member of the council during the forthcoming term. Hie bualness required more of his time, and. the borough's affairs were in such a. condition as to justify him in expecting reiki from the duties of Mayor. Mr. Armstrong has served as Mayor for ten years.
