Mr. and Mrs. G. Masfeft, of Auckland, have been staying in Cambridge. Mr. and Mrs. E. Miller, of Thames, have been on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. York, of Hamilton, is away spending a holiday in the South Island. Mr. and Mrs. Cutten, of Auckland, have been an a holiday visit to Cambridge. Mrs. Wynne Gray has returned to Hamilton from a holiday spent at Milford. Miss C. Hunter, of Hamilton, has been staying with relatives in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. Wilson, of England, were in Hamilton during the week. Miss Heywood, of Epsom, after staying in Hamilton with relatives, has gone on to Thames Beach. Mrs. J. F, Strang has returned to Hamilton from a holiday spent at Rotorua and Tfupo. Mrs. Tovey, of Samoa, is spending some weeks in Tauranga on a holiday. Miss V. Middeton, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. Q. Middleton, Maungatautari. Mrs. Gilchrist has returned to Christchurch from a holiday spent with relatives at Motumaoho. Mrs. H. Buckleton and Miss J. Buckleton have returned to Wellington from a visit to relatives in the Waikato. Mrs. Lance Tompkins has returned to Hamilton from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mrs. Hambly, after spending ' some months with relatives in Hamilton, is on a visit to the South Island, before returning to her home in Sydney. Mrs. O. Williams, after spending* some weeks in Auckland, has. returned to Hamilton. Mrs. Norman Banks and family, of Cambridge, are spending a holiday at Kawhla. Mrs. J. A. Kelly and family have returned to Pukemiro from a holiday spent at Rotorua. Mrs. C. Blackburn, after staying in Hamilton for the ?few Year, has returned to Glsborne. Mrs. A. H. Nicoll has returned to Cambridge from a holiday visit to Rotorua. Miss L. White has returned to Wellington from a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. G. Calvert, of Cambridge, is away on a visit to Waiwera. Mrs. Fryberg, of Hawera, has been spending a holiday at Te Awamutu. Miss A. Brown "has returned to Cambridge after visiting Tauranga and Whangarei. Mrs. G. K. Sinclair, of Hamilton, is staying at Devohport fot A holiday. Mrs, Roy has returned to Xew Plymouth from a visit to Raglan. Miss 1. Smith, of Palmerst.on Xorth, has been on a Visit to Te Aroha, Mrs. A. R. Clark, after being away in Christchurch, has returned to her home in Claiidelands. Mrs. Adams has returned te Thames from a visit to Rotorua. Mrs. L. Cook, of Hinuera, is away visiting relatives in Nelson. Mrs. B. N. Staff, of Wellington, has been staying in Hamilton. Mrs. J. Tremonger, of Wellington, is the guest at Hinuera of Mrs. A. Rowe. Mr. and Mrs* Swales, of Ponsonby, are the quests of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Swales, Hamilton. Miss A. Mareden, of Wellington, was in Hamilton during the Week. Mrs. tJ. McCfacken has returned to Hamilton from an enjoyable holiday spent in New Plymouth. Mrs. Keeble, of Auckland, was in Hamilton on a short visit during the week. Miss M. Mollett, of Hamilton, is away on a visit to Hawke's Bay.

A pretty wedding was solemnised on Wednesday afternoon in the Presbyterian Chlireh, Te Awamutu, the cererhoiiy being performed by the Rev. Butter Worth, The bride was Mavis Eliza, daughter of Mr. and Mi's. A. Retlnie, of Haitini, and the bridegroom was John, second son of the late David Sterritt and Mrs. Sterritt, of "Matakitaki," Plrongia. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore ivory duches satin, with underdress of pleated georgette and silver lace. The long train was lined with pale pink cirepe de chine and was hand-embroidered. The tulle veil was held in place with a chaplet of orange blossoms, and she carried a choice bouquet of lilies, carnations and maidenhair fern". Miss Ha Bel Reiiiile, chief bridesmaid, wore primrose georgette, Miss Margaret Voysey's frock Was deep blue georgette". Both wore crinoline straw hats and carried posies of flowers to tone. Miss Feo. Magtiire, the flower girl, had on a smocked Ivdry georgette and carried a basket of flowers. Master Brian Magtiire acted as page boy. The best man was Mr, Joe Sterritt and Mr. Mortoll Rehnie was groomsman; A reception was held after the cefemony in the Parish Hall, where Mrs. Reiinie, mother of the bride, received the guests in a navy georgette frock and Bangkok hat to match. Montefiore, -P. -Hall (Epsom), N. Faville (Hatrtilton), A. Montefiore, Matthews and Waflcer. The BfiSe travelled In an almond green georgette frock, coat with fox fur collar and smart hat to match. The honeymoon is being spent on a motor totir through the North afld South Islands.

A coming of age party was givsn by Mr. and Mrs, Edward Jones, "Avoca," on Monday night for their son Allan. The rooms were bright with gaily colotired paper streaniere and balloons. The supper tables were very pretty, being decorated with white and gold flowers and gold streamers. Dancing was kept tip till an early hour, when the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" brought a very •toffipy gataerittg to a conclusion*
