TIERNEY'S HAT IDENTIFIED,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WAIHI, this day. An extensive search over many miles of country for the missing man, Thomas F. Tierney, son of a well-known farmer waa continued on Saturday and veaterday without result. Seven days have now elapsed since Tierney left home, and hope of finding him alive has now been abandoned, though it is just possible that he may have wandered beyond Waihi. A hat which has been identified as the property of the missing man was picked up on the Whangamata Road during the week-end.
