STRANDED MORINDA.

SALVAGE OPERATIONS

(Received 11.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. Burns, Philp, Ltd., have sent their superintendent-engineer (Mr. Snellgrove) to inspect the Morinda, which is stranded on the Papuan coast. He will report as to the best means of refloating her.

A quantity of explosives have also been dispatched to be used in shattering the rock which is holding the vessel.
