WRESTLING.
McCarthy v. kilonts.
MONDAY'S CONTEST "TAME."
The decision of the New Zealand Wrestling Association to rematch John Kilonia and Pat McCarthy for a contest in the Town Hall next Monday evening has been very favourably received by Auckland sportsmen, and it is likely that the attendance will be a record for this city. The thrille provided last Monday are likely to be repeated with interest, if a remark made by McCarthy to-day counts for anything. In reply to a question as to how Monday's match compared with those staged in Australia during the recent season, the Irish-Canadian said: "Well, I'm afraid it was a bit tame, but neither Kilonis nor I knew how strict the referee was, and we took no risks of disqualification."
