GERMAN DEADLOCK. IRON AND STEEL WORKERS. (United Service.) (Received 9 a.m.) BERLIN, November 25. The provincial labour court at Diusberg has revised its decision on the atbitrator's award to the iron and steel workers, which it was stated was not binding. The employers are appealing to the supreme labour court. On November 2 it was stated that * lock-out in the metal trade in Germany would come into operation as the employers' reply to the -wages award made by an official arbitrator, which the Minister of Labour decided was bindincr on both parties. The employers argued that the award placed impossible burdens on the industry. Therefore they were in their rights in resisting the Governments decision. The lock-out affected 250,000 workers in the Rhineland and in Westphalia. Their standard of living was admittedly low.
