SPEIRS—DOUGLAS.
The marriage took place on Thursday, November 15, at the Gospel Hall, Devonport, of James Edgar, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Speirs, of Huntly, and Julia, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Douglas, of Devonport, and late of Huntly. The service was fully choral, and the church was prettily decorated with mauve and white flowers by friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. J. Douglas, wore a frock of white silk georgette and silk lace over ivory silk. She wore a beautifully embroidered veil andorange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white stock and cream roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Margaret Douglas (niece of the bride), wore a frock of mauve crope dc chine, a black picture hat, and carried a posy of mauve and pink flowers. Mr. Mark Speirs was best man. The Bride's mother wore a •irock of navy silk, relieved with saxe, and hat to match. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of navy georgette Mis Speirs' future home will De in Raglan. *'
