BRUCE CONFIDENT.
Whirlwind Tour Of Electorate
Completed.
ELECTION ON SATURDAY.
(Received 12 noon.)
SYDNEY, this day.
The Prime Minister, Mr. Bruce, has completed a whirlwind election tour of Australia. He says he is confident that the present Government will be returned with a substantial majority. Labour must win 13 seats to unseat his Government, which he thinks is a hopeless task, especially in view of the recent industrial turmoil.
The number of voters on the Federal rolls for the election on Saturday totals 3,457,555, of whom there are 1,730,529 women, or 3503 more than men. Only three States, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, show excess of women.
