FIRE AT SWANSON.
HOUSE TOTAL LOSS. UNSUCCESSFUL BUCKET BRIGADE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SWANSON, this'day. The residence of Mr. W. E. Brown, Great North Road, Swanson, was .totally destroyed by fire shortly after midday yesterday. Mr. Brown, ."who noticed smoke issuing from his home, when he was out working on his property, aided by neighbours, made unsuccessful attempts to extinguish the flames with buckets of water. A shed adjacent to tlie house in which a quantity of fowl feed and two incubators were stored, was saved. Tho house, which contains four rooms, was covered by an insurance policy in the Ocean Office.
