SUPPORT FOR MR. SMITH.

ME- GEOKGETTI AND LABOUR. ,

(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) RAETIHI, this day. At a meeting held in Raurimu last night Mr. J. Georgetti, Independent candidate for Waimarino, was asked whether, in the event of the Labour party occupying the Treasury benches, he would vote to keep the Labour Government in power. > His answer was that he would. He would vote for any party until it refused, to give him what he wanted. ! In view of Mr. Georgetti's statement, local supporters of the Reform party decided to cancel their previous decision to support him, and to use their influence to assist the return of Mr. R. W. Smith, the other Independent candidate.
