HOW TO EAT ICE CREAM.

MAGISTERIAL DECISION.

STAT UNDER THE AWNING. SUNDAY SALES FROM CART ILLEGAL. (By Telegraph.—Presa Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. When ice creams are sold from a cart on Sundays, and people take them off and eat them, the practice is illegal, according to Mr. E. Page, S.M., who to-day imposed a fine of £1 and costs on George R. Millard. Defendant has been following this practice for three years at Muritai, and he says that it has obtained to his knowledge for 20 years. The magistrate remarked that apparently it would be legal for defendant to sell from a cart if it had an awning and the ice creams were eaten beneath it.
