The story of how a young immigrant from the North of Ireland had forced a number of Hikutaia settlers to accompany him to a hotel and have a drink, at the point of the revolver, was told in the Police Court this morning, when Andrew Bailey, aged 21, an immigrant, faced seen charges relative to his possession of an unregistered firearm, and one of assault.

After hearing the police story, that Bailey, when in drink, thonght himself a youthful desperado, Mr. Platts, S.M., convicted him on alld charges an ordered him to come up for sentence in ayear. He also prohibited him.
