NEW RESERVOIR PLANKED. SITE ON MOUNT EDEN. The importance of proceeding with the work without delay was stressed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council last evening when a tender of £15,569 from the Fletcher Construction Company was accepted for the building of a new reservoir, with a holding capacity of 3,500,000 gallons, on Mount Eden. There were eight tenders, ranging as high as £22,594. The engineer's estimate was £19,017. It is estimated that the reservoir will take about nine months to build.
