NEW MILL OPENING.

TAUMARUNUI, Saturday. Recently Mr. R. W. Smith, M.P. for Waimarino, acquired the timber-cutting rights of a heavily timbered tract of country near Okahakura, and a start it to be made shortly to work the bush. The timber to be worked is said to be of very fine quality, and the new venture iwill provide employment for a large [number of men.
