EXTRADITED.
SAMUEL IN POLICE COURT.
CHARGED WITH FRAUD.
Extradited from Sydney , where he was arrested over a week ago, Edward John Samuel (48), an agent, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court this morning.
Samuel,, for whom Mr. Leonard appeared, was charged with incurring a liability of £i3O, between April 20 and May 24 last, with Charles Thomas Smart, thereby obtaining credit by fraud.
On the application of Chief Detective Hammond, accused was remanded to appear on November 8. Bail, in a personal bond of £500 -and a surety of a similar sum, was allowed.
