THE WRONG BABY.
PROUD MOTHER RECALLED.
MISTAKE AT MATERNITY HOME
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
GISBORNE, Monday
A woman who had been a patient in a maternity home set out on Saturday to return to her home in Ruatoria. She was travelling in a service car, and when it reached Tokomaru Bay she received an urgent message telling her that the infant she carried in her arms was not hers.
The mother had then to return to Gisborne, where she exchanged the baby for her own.
