STOCK SALES.
TE KUITI. Dalgetv and Company. Limited, Te Kuiti, report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Te Kuiti on October 24. A good attendance of buyers was present from all parts of the King Country. There wag a small yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. There was little or no change in values and a satisfactory sale resulted Following is a range of prices:— Fat shorn ewee, 26/; fat cows, £9 to £11; three-year Shorthorn steers, in store condition. £8 0/ to £i> 15/; Holstein and Jersey cross, three-year steers, £6 10/ to £7 5/; store cows, £4 4/, £5 2/, £5 5/ to £6 12/6, for a pen of good condition cows; yearling mixed colour heifers, £4 9/; best dairy cows, £10 to £10 5/ to £11 10/; dairy heifers, close to profit, £9 to £10 5/; backward, £6 15/ to £7 10/. i We also yarded 120 Polled Angus cattle, account estate late Mr. A. H. Wrightson. These sold readily at the following prices:—
17 three-year Polled Angus steers, £8 16/; 18 two-year Polled Angus steers, £7 6/; 11 yearling Polled Angus steers, £5 If; 10 Polled Angus cows, with'calves at toot, £9; 30 Police Angus cows r.w. P.A. bull, £8 10/; 17 Polled Angus three-year heifers, r.w. P.A. bull. £7 9/; 25 twoyear Polled Angus heifers, £6 12/; 16 yearling Polled Angus heifers, £5 8/. Account Messrs. O. and 11. Coates, Matakolie, we offered on.? three-year-old purebred Polled Angus bull, which realised 20gs, and 7 two-year purebred Hereford bulls were sold at the following figures:—lsgs, 17-gs, 17%gs and 18ge, the average "being 17%aa.
