CITY COUNCIL VACANCY.

ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 7,

Messrs. T. Bloodworth, J. R. Lundon and Harold Schmidt have been nominated to contest the seat on the Citv Council which has been rendered vacant by the-death of Mr. F. W. H. Brinsden. Nominations closed with the returning officer (Mr. P. F. Notley) at noon today.

The nominators of Mr. Bloodworth are R. S. Mackay and Jas. Purtell. Mr. Lundon is nominated by F. W. Jeffers and Walter H. Murray. The nomination paper of Mr. Schmidt is signed by Christina Wilson, W. M. Lennan, J. R. Carlsen and Jasper Burfoot. The election will be held on Wednesday, November 7, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
