SYSTEMATIC THIEVING.

YOUNG GIRL'S OFFENCES.

PROBATION EXTENDED

Ivy Clara Allen, a girl of 19, who appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court this morning, admitted four charges of theft of nine novels, four frocks, a rug and blanket from shops in the city.

The police said that accused had made a systematic round of thieving. Some of the goods stolen she had pawned. The girl had also been sleeping out in parks at night, one night being spent in a band rotunda.

In placing her on probation for two years, the first six months to be spent in the Salvation Army Home, the magistrate warned accused that if she got into trouble again she would be sent to the Borstal Institute.
