ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.
'vi • A QUIET.; CORNING. There was not a great deal doing at headquarters this morning, and the Xo. 3 grass track, which was in use, was on the dead side. The outside of the course proper was available for two-year-olds, one trestle out from the nils. Course Proper. Pure Tea sprinted a couple of furlongs and appeared to hit out in improved style, but was not timed. The Treclare gelding and the Tea Tray gelding in J. Williamson's stable were associated iu a sprint from the three-furlong post, and ran home in 39 2-ss. They both shaped well, and were oil terms at the finish. No. 3. Brampton, Zane Grey, Tea Money and Sir Mond were in that order at the end of four furlongs, run in 555. Corinax was doing better than The Thorn at the conclusion of a six-furlong j journey, which took 1.22. j
Lucldaine ran six furlongs in 134. Piet strode over seven furlongs, but was not after time.
Double Mint sprinted three furlongs in 40s, doing it nicely. Thursby ran home from the six-fur-long post in 1.21 2-5, and finished on nicely.
Salamander and Optimistic were timed to run five furlongs in 1.8.
Critique went freely while running six furlongs in 1.22.
Bulolo could have done a lot better than 1.22 1-5 for six furlongs had he been required.
Bonibarder and Winsome Girl ran home from the lialf-uiile post in 53 2-5. Yaqui sprinted four furlongs in 52 4-ss, and did it well.
Hyde Park and Modest Boy were companions over six furlongs, which they covered in 1.20 1-5. They were on terms at the fiuish. Moneytizc completed a half-mile sprint in oos, without being extended. After Breakfast. Sir Russell and Bizarro were timed to run a six-furlong task " i 1.19 2-5. They were together at the finish, but Sir Russell. on the outside, pleased most.
Lido and Lineroo defeated Wve at the end of five furlousrs. run in 1.7.
Valquette was too good for Gay Cockade over a similar journey in 1.7 1-5. Gay Cockade ran very wide at the end.
Killute took 1.22 to complete a sixfurlong journey. Master Leigh, Mountain Guide, War Officer and Template finished as named at. the end of six furlongs in 1.20.
Ponticus ran home from the six-fur long post in 1.22.
Sulla defeated Master Clements at the finish of a five-furlong task, run in 1.7 1-5.
