FINALISING ARRANGEMENTS.
The arrangements for the erection of the new and spacious hostel at the Tongariro National Park are now at the stage of being' finalised. Mr. Herbert Hall, of Timaru, the architect, is at present in Auckland, and is considering the matter of contracts. for the building, which is estimated to cost £60,000. He anticipates that the work will be commenced, almost immediately, and it is expected will be completed by Christmas of 10*29. Arrangements have also been finalised to greatly increase the accommodation for the Christmas traffic this year.
