The Treasury's decision to levy entertainment tax on national and inter - national lawn tennis tournaments has cawed consternation in the French f"® -Tennis Federation, which regards ** a. distinct blow to the maintenance of French prestige in the game. The federation, as a countermove, has prohibited interclub tournaments, and hp relinquished the right to hold Davis Cup finals, which will probably be transferred to Brussels.
