On a track that is becoming faster as the sun dries out the overnight rain, the boys of the Auckland Grammar School are holding their annual athletic meeting on the Domain to-day. As usual, there are large entries in all events, and the finals towards the end of the programme this afternoon are expected to produce some close finishes.

Owing to the threatening weather earlier in the day, the first event was decided over half an hour behind schedule, but smart work by the starter and vigorous efforts by the other officials resulted in all the morning events, with the exception of the bicycle races, which were postponed on account of the slippery nature of the track, beiner run off before the luncheon adjournment.
