PIANO STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION

The Auckland Piano Students' Association held a very successful meeting at Lewis Eady's rooms on Monday night, when Russian music was the subject of discussion. Mr. Leo. Whittaker. who has taken considerable interest in the movement, was the guest of the evening. He gave an address on Russian music, and in kindly fashion <?poke encouragingly of the aims of the association. The meeting was also fortunate in hearing two selections of Moussorgsky's played by Mr. Leo. Whittaker. Interesting papers were read by the president, Miss Joyce Parker, Mies M. Hewson and Mr. Roy Collins. Suitable musical items were contributed by Mis Clare and Miss Trendall.

New members were enrolled, and the prospects of the association are decidedly promising.
