Lang's Charges Against Savings
Bank Chiefs.
Royal commission set up.

SYDNEY, this day.
The Premier, Mr. T. R. Bavin, announces that a Royal Commission will be appointed to investigate the charges made by Mr. J. T. Lang, Labour leader, reflecting upon the propriety of the Savings Bank commissioners having work dona by outside legal firms and alleging; that one of these, Messrs. Tress and Cocks, traded in second mortgages and that there was gambling in mortgages. These charges were warmly denied bv Mr. Bavin.
