By an announcement in a Gazette Extraordinary issued to-night Parliament, which had been prorogued until November 8, has been dissolved.

Nominations of candidates for the general election, to be held on November 14, will close at noon on Monday, Octobcr 29, or 16 days prior to the taking of the poll.

The election of four Maori members will take place on November 13, but nominations will close on the same day as those for the European repreaentat»Hi _
