AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE

A fair amount of business was done on 'Change yesterday afternoon. Sales were made of Bank of New South Wales shares at £51 7/6, and of Union Banks at £15 6/. Buyers again offered £9 14/ for Bank of Adelaide shares to-day, and £15 2/ for Bank of Australasia.

N.Z. Breweries debentures again sold yesterday at £1 4/3, and for N.Z. Breweries' shares, £2 14/9 was offered at the noon call.

Sales were made yesterday afternoon of Auckland Gas at £1 3/4, and of Devonport Ferry at £1 5/. National Insurance changed hands today at 16/5, and business was done in Hikurangi Colleries ordinary shares at 5/7, while 13/1 was paid for Renown Collieries.

N.Z. Loan and Mercantile buyers advanced their price to £113 to-day for the ordinary stock. Inquiry set in once more for Dalgety Ltd. at £15, and an offer was made of £4 1/ for National Mortgage shares. Another shilling rise was made by buyers of Farmers' Auctioneering ordinary shares, but £2 19/ did not cause a seller to quote. P. and O. Deferred Stock again firmed, buyers offering £241 at the noon call, but no seller quoted. Waihi shares had & further advance in price, sales being made at 13/10 to 14/, and at the noon call a transaction was recorded at 13/11.
