The Wingatui left Wellington at 11 p.m. on Tuesday for Auckland, where she Is due to-morrow. After discharge here, she is expected to sail on Tuesday next, for Lyttelton direct, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. She is scheduled to clear Duuedin on September 10 on her return voyage to Auckland, calling also at Lyttelton and Wellington. The Kaponga was to leave Westport at 9 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. She is to sail on Monday evening. > REPAIRS TO WAITOMO. Repairs to the Union Co.'s steamer Wai- j tomo are expected to be completed to-day. Advantage has been taken of her time in dock to carry out a thorough overhaul, i It is hoped to undock her to-morrow morning. SULPHUR FROM TEXAS. Messrs. R. Millar and Company have received advice that the Norwegian motorship Lionel is to be dispatched from Galveston, Texas, about the middle of September With a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland, New Plymouth, Adelaide and Port Lincoln.

The Arapawa left Onehunga yesterday for Raglan and Kawhla. She is to make another trip to Raglan, Kawhla and Walkato next week, leaving Onehunga at 4 p.m. on Monday, and is also scheduled to leave Onehunga on Thursday for Wanganul. The Balls Head arrived this morning from Greymouth, and berthed at the Prince's ■wharf. She is to sail again at 11 p.m. today, probably for Greymouth.

The Kaimanawa is now loading at Westport for Auckland.

The Kurow Is to leave Dunedin to-morrow and Timaru on Monday, for Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland.

The Kartigl is announced to leave Dunedin about the middle of next week for Lyttelton and thence Auckland direct. The Katoa Is to leave Port Craig towards the end of next week for Bluff, Wellington, Picton and Auckland.

The Nobel Explosives Co.'s auxiliary schooner Piri left from Tamaki last night for New Plymouth.

Ihe departure of the steamer Trevorian for Wellington and southern ports has been postponed until to-morrow afternoon.

H.M.s. Laburnum, which is cruising in the South Pacific, reached Suva from Tahiti on Tuesday evening.

Bringing passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland, the Huddart Parker steamer Ulimaroa is to leave Sydney at noon tomorrow. She is due here next Tuesday morning.

Scheduled to leave Suva at 4 p.m. to-day the Union Co.'s steamer Tofua is due at Auckland next Monday morning, with passengers, mails and cargo, from Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa.

Taking passengers, mails and cargo for Sydney, the Union Co.'s steamer Malieno is to be dispatched from Auckland at 11 a.m. to-morrow. She is due there on Tuesday.

Due at Auckland at 3 p.m. to-day, the Government steamer Tutanekai is to berth at the Queen's wharf. She is to sail again at 6 a.m. on Monday to continue her visit of inspection to East Coast lighthouses.

The following warning to navigators was broadcast from Sydney last night: "Breaksea Spit lightship reported approximately two miles south-south-east from charted position. Expect to restore to position on September 1."

Having completed discharge cf her cargo of Ocean Island phosphate, tho steamer Benton sailed this morning for Wcstpcrt to bunker. Thence she is to return to Ocean Island to load again for New Zealand. To undergo her annual overhaul, the Toa arrived at Auckland this morning from Onehunga. The Hauturu is to sail at 3 p.m. to-day to replace her in the Hokianga-One-hunga service. To continue discharge of her cargo or sulphur from Texas, the steamer Copenhagen sailed early this morning for Lyttelton and Wanganui. From Wanganui she is to go to Westport for bunkers, and thence to Nauru to load phosphate for New Zealand or Australia. In continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports, the O. and O. Line steamer Golden Harvest is to sail to-morrow evening for Wellington and Lyttelton. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. V. G. Boivin, a member of the New Zealand Institute of Marine and Power Engineers, now gaining further professional experience in England, has just recently passed the examination for admittance as an Associate Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, London. The passing of this examination entitles Mr. Boivin to registration under the Engineers' Registration Act, 1024. Mr. J. M. Hood left Wellington for Sydney by the Makura, and on arrival he will relieve Mr. W. A. Todd as second officer of the vessel. Mr. G. H. Edwards has been appointed fourth officer of the Makura, relieving Mr. 11. M. Hughes for instructions. Captain J. G. Watson has reported from holidays, and is awaiting orders at Wellington. 1 ANTINOUS DISCHARGING. Arriving at Auckland yesterday afternoon, the steamer Antinous (Capt. E. Thomas) berthed at the Western wharf to land 1400 tons of her cargo of asphalt from Tampico, Mexico. She has a further ;>6OO tons for New Plymouth, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Bluff. The Antinous sailed from Tampico on July 21. and cleared Panama eijjht days later. Fair weather was experienced throughout the voyage. S.S. AND A. LOADINGS. , The Mahana left Wellington at four o clock on Monday for Napier. Waikokopu, and Auckland to complete loading for England. The vessel is due at Auckland on September o, and is to be dispatched for London five days later. A. S. Paterson and Co.. Ltd., are the local agents. The Gallic left Bluff on Mondav evening for Port Chalmers. Lyttelton, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland to complete loading. The vessel is due at Auckland on September 10, and four days later is to be dispatched for Cristobal, New York, Boston, Halifax, and West Coast ports of Great Britain. PASSENGERS FOR N.Z.
