AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Business was good both yesterday afternoon and again to-day. National Insurance were placed yesterday afternoon and again to-day at 16/6. South British Insurance also had sales this morning at £3 3/6. At the third call yesterday further business was done in Auckland Gas at £1 3/, and a sale was reported in Amusement Park ordinary shares at 5/. To-day there were sellers at 6(1 above that figure. Taranaki Oil shares eased, to sales at 9/, and New Zealand Refrigerating contributing issue sold at 9/3, while New Zealand Breweries had business at £2 7/6. More business was done yesterday afternoon in Morris, Hedstrom shares at £1 1/, and a sale took place of Holden's Motors at £1 12/6. Commercial Bank ordinary shares sold this morning at £1 10/10, and for Bank of Xew South Wales, ex div., £50 5/ was paid. Wellington Woollen silares advanced at the noon call, buyers quoting £6 7/6 for ordinary, and £6 9/ for preference issue, buyers also came in for Westport Coal at £1 10/, and for Bank of Adelaide shares at £9 11/. A sale was made at the noon call of <kV 2 per cent War Loan, 1938, at £99 7/6, and for Soldiers, also Government oVi per cent Loans, £101 2/6 was the buying quotation. Ohinemuri Mines advanced to-day, sales being made at 8/, while for Waihi shares 12/7 was accepted.
