PIOPIO FACTORY. (From Our Own Corresponde.it.) TE KUITI, Thursday. A largely-attended smoke concert was tendered by the Piopio Co-operative Dairy Company to its suppliers on Tuesday evening, when dairy farmers were present from all parts of the district. The function was to mark the occasion of the winning of the Weddel Cup—a most remarkable ieat—for the third year in succession. Responding to the toast of the "Piopio Factory," the manager, Mr. F. P. Walker, ascribed the credit to the suppliers, who had produced a high-grade quality of cream. The winning of the Weddel Cup thrice in succession should dispel the impression that had got abroad as to the King Country's pos*;b:lit!«*i, Air. R. Rowson, in reply, stated that had iial the pleasure and opportunity of appreciating the quality of Piopio dairy product at first hand in Great BriUrn.

Mr. C. S. Stranger, manager of the Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, urged .suppliers to continue to keep •jp the grade of their product. The type or butter box in which the product was packed for sending overseas, lie considered, was also important.
