Choicest New Zealand salted, 182/ to 186/; uusalted, 186/ to 190/; Australian salted, 170/ to 174/; unsalted, 176/ to 184/. Cheese is firm. New Zealand, 111/ to 113/ per cwt; Australian, 108/ to 111/. Messrs. Norden and Co. have received the following cable from their London principals. Andrew Clement and Sons, dated August 23: — Butter. —Market quiet. New Zealand, salted. 180/ to 182 1 ; unsalted, 190/. Cheese.—New Zealand, white, 112/; coloured. 110/. Wheat for delivery in September is quoted at Chicago at $1.11% per bushel. For December delivery the rate is $1.17. for March $1.22%, and for May $1.24%.

SYDNEY WOOL SALES. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. To-day's catalogues at the wool eale6 totalled 8415 bales, whereof 8178 were sold. The market waa unchanged. Japanese and German competition waa etill a feature with some French support and sparing purchases of superior sorts from America. Good fleece and skirtings sold readily. Greasy Merino fleece sold to 23d, threequarters and comebacks 2iYtd. MELBOURNE HIDES SALES. MELBOURNE, August 23. At the Melbourne hides sales to-day there was keen competition. The market was very firm in sellers' favour.
