(Received 11.30 a.m.) HOBART, this day. Mr. T. Murdoch has given notice in the State Legislative Council that owing to the disabilities Tasmania i-* experiencing under the Federation, step? will he taken to enable Tasmania to withdraw from the Commonwealth. CLAIMS ON MEXICO. (Received 1 p.m.) RUGBY, August 22. The first meeting was held in Mexico City to-day of the commission set up under the Anglo-Mexican Convention of 192t> for the settlement of British pecuniary claims for loss or damage by revolutionary acts in Mexico between November 20, 1910, and May 3f, 1920.
