Recently purchased by a Japanese firm, the former Union Company vessel has made two unsuccessful endeavours to get to Newcastle. On the first occasion her bunkers were depleted as the result of encountering bed weather, and she returned to port. On Saturday a second departure was made. Last night the vessel limped back to port with a fractured cylinder.
