LOCAL BODIES MEET, j EIGHT delegates appointed CONFERENCE WITH CITY COUNCIL. At a meeting of representatives of Auckland suburban local bodies held yesterday afternoon, Messrs. E. H. Potter, R. G. Clark, W. J. Holdsworth, F. \V. Jones, T. Blood worth, W. L. Titehener, Milliken and F. \A. Waters were appointed as a delegation to. meet the representatives of the Auckland City Council in conference to discuss the transport problem. As the Mayor of Auckland (Mr. G. Baildon) and "the chairman of the Tramways Committee (Mr. J. A. C. Allum) are leaving for Wellington to-night on municipal business, it is proposed to hold the transport conference next week.
