ROTORUA NOTES.
Mrs. Hume and her two sons, of Hamilton, are spending a holiday at Armidale, Rotorua. Miss Anderson motored through to Auckland for the school holidays. Mrs. A. Munro, of Claudelands, is on a short visit to Rotorua. Miss Denton, King Geoige V. Hospital, ia spending a six weeks' holiday in Auckland. Mrs. A. P. Speedy, who has been the guest of Mrs. F. W. Wilkie, Pukaki Street, has returned to Hamilton. Miss Snodgrass, King George V. Hospital, has returned to Rotorua, from a month's holiday spent in Sydney. Miss V. St. Clair was the guest of Mrs. M Shuttleworth, Kaharoa, during the week-end. Mrs. E. Sledge, of Sydney, who has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. J. D. Davys, Pukuatua Street, Rotorua, for some time, is now the guest of Mrs. Mugglesworth, Grafton Road. Miss Nicholls, who has been staying in Rotorua, has left for Taupo, Napier and Wellington.
The committee of the Rotorua Women's Club entertained Mrs. W. L. Richards, their president, on Saturday evening, at the Tea Kiosk, Government Gardens. The supper table was prettily decorated with crystal vases of golden daffodils and jonquils. On her arrival Mrs. Richards was presented by Mrs. J. N. McLean with a bouquet of violets, daphne and heath. A most enjoyable evening was spent with musical items, games, stories and recitations. The guests present were: Mrs. W. L. Richards, who wore a handsome frock of tan and black georgette, relieved with silver; Mrs. J. N. McLean, Mrs. H. P. Ford, Mrs. A. Munro (Claudelands), Mrs. A. Steele, Mrs. A. V. Merriman, Mrs. Campny, Mrs. A. T. Coats, Mrs. F. C. Davidson, Mrs. H. A. Goudie, Mrs. Cohnle, Mrs. F. C. Bunyard, Mrs. Howden, Mrs. N. Keane, Mrs. S. Hale, Miss E. Robinson, Miss C. Davidson, Miss P. St. Clair.
The Rotorua Caledonian Society held another of their popular socials and dances on Friday night, at the Druids' Hall. The progressive 500 tournament was supervised by Mr. Lindsay, the prizes being won by Mrs. Moreland and Mr. E. Armer. A dainty supper was served by the ladies' committee, after which a few dancei were held, the Monte Carlo waltz prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Brooker.
