PUBLICITY FILMS.
m:\\ government studio. Very much like a school to look at from the outside, a new brick building fronting the Miramar tennis courts has recently been completed, says the Wellington "Post." With a frontage of 110 feet and with a depth of about the same number of feet, this building is unique in Australasia in that it combines studios and laboratories in which every phase of the production of cinematftgraph films can be carried out expeditiously with the aid of the most modern of scientific appliances. Its erection, however, is not intended to facilitate the production of "powerful" dramas wherein the '"eternal triangle" plays an important part, or of "stunt" pictures. It has been designed solelv for the use of the Government Publicity Department, whose magnificent productions in the cinema line, portraying the Dominion's scenic wonders, industrial activities and topical happenings, are now universally recognised as being as -°od as any turned out in anv part of the world.
