A PENNY MORE WANTED.
EGG PRODUCERS' GUARXTEE PRICE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. An increase of a penny per dozen in the price which the Government has guaranteed New Zealand poultry producers for eggs exported to the London market this season was urged by a deputation of poultry farmers which waited on the Hon. A. D. McLeod. The deputation said that the guaranteed price of 2/2 a dozen eggs in London would return l/3§ a dozen to New Zealand poultry producers, which wa-s a penny less than they hoped for.
The Minister received the deputation sympathetically, and stated that he would discuss the matter with the Minister of Agriculture with a view to seeing what further help could be given.
