BRILLIANT METEOR.

SPECTACLE FOR WAIHI

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WAIHI, this dav.

A largo meteor of exceptional brilliancy was noticed falling from the skv in a north-easterly direction from Waihi about 9.27 last evening. The last view of it was obtained in the east end of the town, from which the phenomenon appeared comparatively close. In the course of its flight the meteor assumed a globular appearance and changed in colour from brilliant shades to a deep green, and finally cast a broad dazzling electrical illumination as it neared tie earth.
