WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
WISfLEy—GENTLES. St. Mary's- Cathedral was the setting this morning for the wedding of Mavis Pretoria, eldest daughter of Miv H. ,1. Gentles, of I'arnell. when sTie was marlied to William John, son of Mrs. A. Wiselev. of Auckland.- Canon Percival •fames, assisted by Archdeacon Mac Murray, perlornird the ceremony. Entering the church with her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown, the skirt and bodice having vandyckcd. handkerchief draperies ot georgette. Kuckles of brilliants w6re worn at the shoulder and waist line. A long tulle veil formed the .train and had sprays of tulips worked in silks and was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of choice white flowers and satin streamers. Two bridesmaids followed, Misses Oloria L'rwin and Jeanne Needham. The former was gowned in can de' nil crepe roma, with strap from shoulder to waist held in place with diamante buckles. The latter wore a frock which was shaded from pale to deep pink. Rosettes of deeper shade \Mwe placed round the skirt. Silver tricolene headdresses had silver lame ribbons and they carried bouquets to match. The best man was Mr. Arthur Ock'eston. The Domain Kiosk was prettily arranged for the reception in hanging baskets, large pots of cyclamen and bowls qf maiden hair fern. The bride's sister, Mrs. Xeedham, received the guests in a champagne jersey silk gown with a hat and bouquet to tone.
