Lancaster, the authoress of numerous travel novels, has been visiting friends in Tasmania, and was entertained a great deal. * • * • Reference was made at the luncheon a u the Lyceum Club yesterday by Miss Melville, to the pleasure of again having Mrs. Parkes to preside, which she had been unable to do for a time through the illness of her daughter. The members rose and carried the resolution with musical honours. Mrs. Parkes feelingly replied.
