WAIUKU TOWN BOARD.
The Waiukti Town Board met on Monday evening, Mr. W. L. West presiding.
The chairman of the Local Government Loans Board requested further information upon certain points in connection with the water loan. Left in the hands of the clerk, The Main Highways Board forwarded authority for payment of the subsidy: upon Kitchener Road improvements. The clerk was instructed to take the necessary steps to recover all outstanding rates. It was resolved that in future, before any building permits were granted, a sum should be deposited with the clerk, eufficient to cover any damage likely to be caused through carting building material across any footpath. . '■ I The clerk was authorised to order sufficient metal to patch various roads and. streets in the town area. Complaint was made of abuilding being erected without a permit and it wac resolved to strictly enforce the by-law in future. The clerk was instructed to forward a letter to the owners concerned to carry out the terms of their bond to form and metal Howden Street, within six months, failing which the board would exercise ita power in connection with same.
Accounts amounting to £538 17/6 were pa*«ed for payment.
