SHIPPING CONFERENCE'S VIEW
(Australian Press Assn. —United Service.)
(Received 12 noon.) LONDON, June 15.
The Shipping Conference has adopted a resolution, moved by Mr. Campbell, general counsel for the American Steamship Owners' Association, pointing out that the volume of traffic in the Panama Canal has now justified the continuous operation of the canal both day and night, and suggesting that representation be made to the United States Government to extend the hours of operation.
