AVIATION IN NEW ZEALAND.
GIFT OF LIGHT 'PLANE. SIR CHARLES WAKEFIELD'S OFFER (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. Ingle, manager in New Zealand for C. C. Wakefield and Company, has received advice from the Sydney office of the company to the effect that Sir Charles Wakefield has cabled, "Please offer the New Zealand Government in my name a light plane to aid in development of civil aviation within the Dominion."
Sir Charles made a similar gift recently to the Commonwealth Government, on the occasion <>f Mr. '3ert Kinkier s arrival there. The development of civil aviation has always intere tr-d him.
